Senator Akintunde, Others In Attendance As Ibadan Outer City APC Stakeholders Unite For Peace, Unity

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress across the six local government councils in outer city of Ibadanland have resolved to work towards achieving lasting peace and unity within the party ahead of future elections in the state.

The stakeholders made up of leaders, stalwarts and executive committee members from Akinyele, Egbeda, Ido, Lagelu, Oluyole and Ona-Ara local government areas held their quarterly meeting at the Secretariat of the APC in Egbeda local government located in New Ife Road, Ibadan and it was graced by the lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sen. Yunus Akintunde PhD.

In his welcome address; the Chairman of the APC in the zone, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe JP, said that the various steps taken by the leadership to mend fence with some other critical stakeholders who return to the party recently had yielded the desired results while the feat would be sustained in the overall interest of the APC and its teeming members in the state.

Other leaders such as Chief Kunle Sanda, Hon. Lekan Adeyemo, Hon. Ibrahim Bolomope and Prof. David Adeyemo harped on the need for unity of purpose, commitment and loyalty on the part of leaders and members of the party at all levels. They also appealed for calm in the Oluyole federal constituency where internal crisis were reported recently assuring that the leadership of Alh. Olayide Abas would soon find a lasting solution to the problem in conjuction with other relevant stakeholders.

In his speech, Sen. Akintunde lauded the stakeholders for their ceaseless efforts to sustain peace and unity with the party. He charged them to keep all elected representatives and appointees of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on their toes as this would make them to sit tight and deliver on the mandate given to them and in turn attract more trust and confidence of the masses who form the voting population in the society.

Solidarity messages from Hon. Akin Alabi and Engr. Aderemi Oseni of Egbeda/Ona-Ara and Ido/Ibarapa federal constituencies respectively were delivered at the meeting which was attended by other eminent personalities such as; Alh. Rasaki Akilapa, Hon. Dauda Lawal, Alh. Yinka Folarin, Hon. Abiola Ambali, Alh. Bello Labankadi, Bashorun Buliaminu Ogundele, Hon. Abiodun Adigun-Hammed, Alh. Wahid Olawale, Hon. Lasun Oguntade, Alh. Olalekan Busari, Alh. Morufu Lamolo and the party chairmen the six local government areas.
