Akogun Sharafadeen Alli, the Ekefa Balogun of Ibadanland, has described a former attorney general of the federation, late Chief Richard Akinjide as a man who achieved many greats in life and served a a role model for the generations after him.
Alli, a former secretary to the Oyo State government, disclosed this in a statement made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM.
He wrote: “In the Legal profession he rose to the peak as an Attorney General of Nigeria.
“In Politics he was involved from pre-independence to the top echelon of the ruling National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in the second republic.
“As an Ibadan man, his name is still to be mentioned as one of the role models and success stories for the younger generation.
“As a family man, he has raised children who are already flying the flag of the Akinjide family. Among them is my sister, the iconic Oloye Jumoke Akinjide who I’ve called to condole with.”
He added that Chief Richard Akinjide was a successful man who lived a long and fulfilled life and prayed that his soul rest in peace.
