An Islamic humanitarian organization with vision to ensure zero hunger, empower the needy, widows, orphans and other less privileged in the society, Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation, ICF has rounded off the state-wide 2025 Mega Iftar programme with the distribution of food palliative to 500 households in Oke-Ogun Zone 1, comprising Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West.
The distribution of food items including spackaged Rice, Spaghetti, Noodles and Garri held in Saki was sequel to hosting 2000 Muslims in Oyo state to Iftar across 10 zones as delineated by ICF to incorporate large number of people as beneficiaries of the relief packages.
Speaking through the executive chairman, Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation, Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh-Orankan, the ICF Vice Chairman, Sheikh Mansur Abdusalam-Murtadho emphasized the necessity for unity, tolerance and pursuit of common goal among Muslims for them to retain their rightful positions in the society.
“We (Muslims) have a comprehensive manual, Qur’an which gives directions for our affairs; let us follow its injunctions”, he enjoined.
Sheikh Murtadho-Abdusalam hinted that Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan who was recently turbanned as Aare Alaranse Adinni of Oyo State by the League of Imams and Alfas under the chairmanships of Sheikh Abubakr Agbotomokekere is unrelenting in his efforts to ameliorate sufferings among the masses.
ICF National Treasurer, Dr Musa Alongbija noted that the Mega Iftar was to bring succour to Muslims, reiterating the commitment of the foundation to do more for humanity without discrimination.
According to him, the relief packages will be delivered to the needy regularly in line with the unwavering commitment of the foundation for better life for all.
While unveiling the distribution of the palliative, Bagii of Saki, High Chief AbdurRasheed Adegoke, who was the special guest at the event acknowledged the impacts of Ambassador Jimoh-Orankan in poverty alleviation, community development and humanitarian services, praying Allah to expand his resources for continuity of the good work.
A member of ICF Board of Trustees, Alhaja Milliat Abdulazeez, and the local government coordinators in Atisbo, Alhaji Taofeek Akeula, Saki West, Sheikh Abdulgafar Nasirudeen and Saki East, Ustaz Abdulhakeem Muhammadul-Awwal appreciated the foundation for the gesture, adding that the National Executives had put in place perfect arrangement to sustain the structure and vision of the charitable organization.
Some of the beneficiaries including Mrs Amina Hamzat, Alhaja Sadiat Aderogba, Mr. Tijani Razaq and Mallam AbdurRasheed Arogundade promised to extend hands of fellowship to their neighbours as enjoined at the gathering.
Other members of the ICF board of trustees present at the programme includes Dr Abdulfatah Shittu, Sheikh Daud Hamzat and Sheikh Taofeek Alajiki.
