Shortly after President Muhammadu Buhari met with some selected traditional rulers from the south west over the rising spate of insecurity in the land, Oyo State ministerial nominee Mr Sunday Dare, met the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba AbdulGaniyu Salau and the Olugbon of Igbon, Oba Francis Olusola Alao as well as three-term member representing Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa federal constituency, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi who is popularly known as Bunvic.
Though details of what they discussed were still sketchy as at press time, Ooni, it was learnt, led the monarchs to the Presidency, which was also attended by vice-president Yemi Osinbajo and the Inspector General of Police.
One of the focus points of the meeting, OYO INSIGHT learnt, was to discuss the security situation in the southwest.The meeting came few days after the Ogbomoso-born journalist was screened by the senators.Dare, who is currently the commissioner in charge of stakeholders management at the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, was chief of staff and media adviser to former Lagos governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
