He would later wrote on his Facebook account, detailing his past efforts.

“After the service, we moved to the badly-damaged Oyo/Iseyin Road, in company of the members of NURTW and RTEAN, politicians, community leaders, commuters and well-wishers in Oyo Federal Constituency. While inspecting the damaged road, I took the audience down the memory lane on our past and present efforts in making the road motorable again.

“On 3rd October, 2017, I moved a motion on the need to repair the road.

“On 24th July, 2019, I wrote a letter to implore the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing on the need to include Oyo/Iseyin Road in the cause of implementing the 2019 Appropriation Act.

“Proactive efforts and lobbies of other legislators (Senators Fatai Buhari and Teslim Folarin) with officials of the supervising Ministry cannot be downplayed. We have concertedly striven to make these efforts come to fruition.

“I assure you that these efforts will not go in vain. We are hopeful that the Buhari administration, through the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, will swiftly disburse the needed fund to commence repairs on the road. Also, more fund has been allotted to the said road in the 2020 Appropriation Bill.
