Bola Tinubu, Teslim Folarin and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2023 elections are the best to salvage the country from its present woes and consolidate on the gains of the outgoing administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
John Oyetunji Aremu, youth leader of the APC in Oyo State and others made this known at an enlarged meeting of the youth stakeholders of the party yesterday.
According to Aremu, who spoke at the gathering which drawn youth leaders of the party from the state to the ward levels, Tinubu offers the best programmes for Nigeria and Nigerians at this particular point in time, adding that he would not disappoint the people.
He said that Nigerians have seen the lackluster performance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, especially in Oyo State, explaining that Teslim Folarin has the experience, capacity and network to turn around the fortune of the state.
”I’m glad to have you here today. We only called this meeting last night. I appreciate your attendance. What we have invited you for mainly is because of the coming elections.‘without being sentimental, all our candidates are the best compared to those of the opposition. They will not only represent us well but the people too. Let’s support and mobilize for them. It is important Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Sen. Teslim Folarin and all the other candidates of our party win. Nigeria and Oyo State will be better for it. Whatever might have happened, don’t let’s do ‘kampala’ politics. It doesn’t pay anyone. Let’s support all APC candidates from top to bottom,” he said.
He commended the governorship candidate of the party, Teslim Folarin; party chairman, Isaac Omodewu as well as Seyi Tinubu, son of the presidential candidate for his efforts aimed at solidifying the party structure in the state to ensure victories.
Corroborating Aremu, Sayo Fatoki, who is deputy state youth leader, enjoined everyone to go to their units and deliver votes for all candidates of the party. He said that everyone has a lot to gain if APC wins every poll.
Akin Akinwale, celebrated Twitterati and senatorial youth leader of the party in Oyo central, said that “All hands must be on deck till the final days to ensure the APC and its candidates win. We must APC has large numbers of vote in all elections. It’s imperative with ensure Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has the highest numbers of vote margin. We need it for many things. One of it is that it allows negotiate good appointments and infrastructural development for our state. We will win the governorship and national and state assemblies’ elections too but we also need the federal. Let’s go back home and continue work.”
State secretary of the party, Tajudeen Olanite, who gave words of admonition, tasked the youths to deploy all their energy to ensure people vote for the APC. “You will not regret it. We need to win the federal and this state. It is very good for you and your future. Our generation is gradually handling over. We need to handover to you and not some underperformers.”
