Prominent Christian leaders in Nigeria led by His Eminence, Rev. (Dr.) Supo Ayokunle, the President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) earlier today converged at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran, to officially dedicate the Resort’s Chapel built by Chief Dotun Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort.
The Chapel was buit with a view to satisfying the yearnings of the hospitality outfit’s numerous Christian guests who have often asked for a befitting place to serve their Creator anytime they are accommodated in the Resort.
The event which was billed to commence at12 noon began at the scheduled time due to the prompt arrival of the eminent Christian leaders.
The Chapel was officially dedicated by the number-one christian in Nigeria, His Eminence, Rev. (Dr.) Supo Ayokunle, the President, Christian Association of Nigeria who was supported by Dr. Sunday Ola Makinde,
Prelate Emeritus, Methodist Church of Nigeria; Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President and Founder of Sword of The Spirit Ministries International and other eminent christian personalities.
Reading from 1st Samuel Chapter 2 Verse 30, Bishop Francis Wale Oke who delivered a special sermon at the event declared that God has made a covenant that whosoever that honours Him will automatically be honoured by God.
According to the highly revered man of God, “i want to declare to you (Chief Dotun Sanusi and Deaconess Joyce Sanusi) that having honoured God by building a befitting church for the salvation of mankind, you will automatically be honoured by God”.
Bishop Wale Oke recalled that the manifestation of the great things that are happening in Akanran town today through Chief Sanusi, was a result of the cruzade God told him to organize at Akanran in 1978.
While giving his Royal blessings, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sunday Oladapo Oyediran Olugbami Oseku III, the Onpetu of Ijeruland who is the Royal Father of the Day prayed for Chief and Chief Mrs Sanusi to continue to wax stronger in their commitment to serve the Lord Almighty adding that theirs is the family thst is worthy of emulation.
Special prayers were thereafter offered for Ilaji Resort, Akanran/Ibadan/
Other dignitaries who attended the event include; Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State Chapter; Ona-Ara Local Government, Pastor CAF Obassa of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Region 21 who was represented by Pastor Awobode; Col. Adenike Akerele (rtd.), Chairman, Ibadan Cultural Week 2020; Asiwaju Nurudeen Akinade, Executive Member, Central Council of Ibadan Indigene (CCII) among others.
