Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oluyole local government, stormed the Felele residence of the deputy national chairman (south) of the party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja to present their consensus chairmanship candidate, Olaide Popoola Settle to him.
This was just as they insisted that Settle, as council chairman, has done 132 visible projects in the council areas.
According to the leaders, they don’t have any other candidate than Settle which they have all adopted as their consensus candidate for the council election coming up in 2024.
They said that the governor is aware and that they were still going to take the candidate to him for blessings.
Settle, said the leaders, have done as council chairman and they want him to continue. “Apart from being resourceful and a performer, he listens to correction. That, to us, is the hallmark of leadership.”
Among the leaders who took Settle to Arapaja were Hon. Abideen Lasun Salami, Dr Gbola Adetunji, Hon. Depo Oyedokun, Baba Emmanuel Akinlade, Alhaji Hamsalad Mustapha,,Alhaji Hassan Boladale, Alhaji Agoro Moshood, Major Kayode Adeyemo, Hon. Waheed Akintayo Ilumoka, Hon Francis Adewale, Hon.
