Party members who stopped his convoy at the Kudeti Church ushered him into the IMG Primary School, Ori Aje, venue of the meeting.

It was his first attendance after returning to the party few months ago.

OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that the youthful former Commisioner, who represented Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019, had left the party with other aggrieved members over unresolved leadership tussle with Oyo APC.

Senators Teslim Folarin, Fatai Buhari and others have all visited the politicians on several occasions before and after rejoining the APC.

Caretaker secretary of the party in the state, Alhaji Mojeed Olaoya, who also hails from the council area, explained that the youthful politician was returning to his father’s house and nothing more, urging party faithful to unite to win subsequent general election.

A former chairman of the local government, Akogun Akeem Olatunji, said he was happy to see Lam-Adesina, adding that “this was a man who received us when we joined APC. I am happy the rancor within our party is almost settled.”

The leader of the party in the council area, Alhaji Mufutau Gbayawu, explained that he was relieved that his son has returned, saying it was a beginning of a new era for the party in the state.

Speaking earlier, Lam Adesina, who laced his speech with songs amidst thunderous applause, commended the party faithful for the love they showed him.

He explained that “we are better together. Remember how we won the 1999 election. In 2003 and 2007, we went into the election with a fractured house and we lost to the PDP. In 2011, we came together and was in power till 2019 when internal leadership wrangling rocked our party and we lost. What I am trying to say is that when we unite, we win. Almost of us have obviously learnt our lessons. I am happy to see your faces again. I am grateful.”
