Senior advocate, Ahmed Raji, last week organized a special prayer for the repose of the departed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.
Oba Adeyemi, who ruled for above 50 years, died April 22, 2022 in Ado-Ekiti and was buried the second day.
At the special prayers, which had children of the late monarch, Islamic clerics and Okeogun Obas, Oyomesi and domestic aides, took place in the legal luminary’s home town of Iseyin.
Others in attendance included the deputy governor of Oyo State, Raufu Olaniyan; former chairman of First Bank, Ajibola Afonja; reps member, Shina Peller and former works commissioner, Dauda Wasiu.
Notable among the children who were at the event were Tunde Adeyemi, Leke ADEYEMO, reps member Akeem Adeyemi; the pioneer chairman, Oyo State Local Government Pensions Board, Adebayo Adeyemi and others.
