Oyo State governor-elect, Engr Seyi Makinde visited outgoing governor Abiola Ajimobi today.
This is coming 6 days after Makinde, who is of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, defeated All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu in the governorship election.
OYO INSIGHT learnt that it was Ajimobi who invited Makinde.
This newspaper recalled that Ajimobi and Makinde were governorship and senatorial candidates respectively of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP in 2007.
Kamorudeen, son of late garrison commander of Oyo politics, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, was declared winner of the Oyo South senatorial district while Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, then of the PDP, was also declared governor.
Both Ajimobi and Makinde parted ways in the build up to the 2011 general elections.
On Makinde’s entourage were his deputy, Engr Raufu Olaniyan, Sen. Hosea Ayoola and host of others.
