The Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State will hold its convention in Ibadan tomorrow, OYOINSIGHT.COM can report.
The scheduled congress is happening amid heightened political tension and reported attack on leaders of the faction, including a violent attack on the house of former Oyo State Deputy Governor, Hazeem Gbolarumi.
According to Diran Odeyemi, one of the party’s leader, the scheduled congress will hold in Ibadan and no threat of violence can deter them.
“These are the Vans assigned to trail and kill me. They have seen me twice but the Godl serve disarmed them. He who did not create me can not kill me. Am i scared? “Tuesday is Oyo State Congress at Liberty stadium, let’s see how many people they can kill and how many houses and cars they can destroy or burn,” he wrote.
