The Oyo state chapter, Union of Tippers And Quarry Employers Of Nigeria (UTQEN), has described Mrs. Abigail Amope Makinde, late mother of Engr Seyi Makinde, the executive governor of Oyo state as painful but glorious exit.
The state chairman of UTQEN, Alhaji Yekeen Adewale, popularly known as Oluaye made this known while speaking with journalists in Ibadan on Thursday shortly before commencement of mama’s lying-in-state at the agodi government house.
Speaking on behalf of the union across the state, Oluaye, who is also the chairman, Oyo state Disciplinary Committee for Park Mangers, Tipper, Quarry, and Lorry, explained that it was evident in the success rate of governor Makinde that late mama Abigail had built giants in his children in terms of quality of trainings and virtues.
He condole governor who he noted to have shared strong bond with his late mother and could well pass as ‘mommy’s boy’ to not allow the passing of his mother distract him by dwelling on it too much.
Recall that Mama Abigail Omojolagbe Makinde died in the early hours of Thursday 15th October, 2020 at her residence in Ibadan without any prior record of illness.
The final burial arrangements which have been slated for 3rd and 4th (Thursday and Friday) of December has however commenced in earnest since yesterday.
Oluaye however, condoled the entire Makinde family and prayed God grants the deceased an eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the pain of her passing.
