There are jubilations in some parts of Ibadan as results of yesterday’s national assembly election have continued to trickle in.
Dr. Mohammed Kola Balogun’ Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, recorded tremendous victory in virtually all the federal constituencies in Oyo South senatorial district, where outgoing Governor Abiola is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Though it is yet to be officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the candidates of the PDP, it was learnt, recorded tremendous success in Ibarapa East/Ido; Ibadan North East/ South East; Ibarapa Central/North and Ibadan North West federal constituencies.
It was further learnt that the APC candidate performed well in Ibadan North. There are 9 local government areas in the district.
