The Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has joined millions of beneficiaries and admirers to celebrate the birthday of renowned philanthropist and renown architect, Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi.
In a statement signed by the Council’s Chairman, Ademola Babalola, the NUJ described Alhaji Adebisi as an “Icon of Humanity” whose philanthropic gestures have brought succour to countless individuals, inspiring hope and transforming lives.
According to Babalola’s statement made available to reporters by the Union’s Secretary, Sola Oladapo, “Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi’s life exemplifies purposeful spirit of giving with respect for human dignity and greater good of humanity in general.
“Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi’s selflessness, generosity and unwavering commitment to humanity are qualities that have endeared him to many,” the statement read.
“As a renowned architect, he has designed structures that stand the test of time, but more remarkable is the architecture of kindness he has built, touching hearts and uplifting communities.”
The NUJ wished Alhaji Adebisi continued strength, wisdom and fulfillment as he marks another year of life, thanking him for being a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose and service.
The statement added that the NUJ Oyo State Council remained eternally grateful to the celebrant for the establishment of Oyo NUJ ICT Centre and provision of IT equipment and numerous supports for the Union and its members over the years.
