African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Oyo central senatorial district in Oyo State has announced the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s candidate, Dr. Yunus Akintunde as her preferred candidate for the February 25 election.
This was disclosed by the party’s stakeholders including the state executive members from Oyo central, senatorial, local government executives as well as leaders and all the national assembly candidates of ADC in the senatorial district at a press briefing in Akinyele local government area, Ibadan on Thursday.
“The stakeholders meeting resolved that having sought permission from the party and the party through careful consideration and discussion and since the party has no senatorial candidate in Oyo central, then threw its weight behind the decision of the stakeholders.
“The senatorial structure of the party believes that Dr. Yunus Akintunde is the best candidate for the job, and have confident that he will deliver on his mandate as distinguished senator if he elected.
Among party’s house of representative’s candidates present were Olatunde Ishmael (Oluyole); Olagbenro Oladipupo (Surulere/Ogo Oluwa); Olaniran Anthony’s Aderonke (AFIJIO/Atiba/Oyo East/Oyo West); and Tawaliu Olawale Amusat (Egbeda/Ona Ara).
The party has however directed all its structures and members across the senatorial district to work with Dr. Yunus Akintunde’s team and equally vote and mobilize votes to ensure victory for Akintunde and other national assembly candidates of APC within Oyo central senatorial on Saturday February 25, 2023 national assembly election.
