The donation came few days to Saturday’s convention of the party in Abuja.

While Akintunde opened the curtain on the donation with 4 million naira, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi Bunvic who is representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere federal constituency for a consecutive third term supported with two million naira. The house of assembly member from the state constituency also donated two hundred thousand.

The donations are meant to be used in carrying our party’s exercise like mobilization for voter’s registration and running of the administration, especially as APC is not in power in the state.

Akintunde, while speaking, said he has facilitated streetlights to a number of places, more than 500 poles of streetlight across the state which he explained was a a Federal Government project.

“I have facilitated the construction and renovation of blocks of classrooms in about 11 schools with boreholes and toilets provided and so on. This is part of what is prompting me to go to the Senate. If I can do all these using my name as a credible brand to achieve it, imagine the scale of what I will be able to do if I have political power in an elective position. Allah is my witness. I have never had economic consideration for political offices. I have the vision of serving so I will be able to do more for the people.”

The former works and transport commissioner in the administration of late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, said that he won’t neglect any part of the senatorial district if he is elected.

Party leaders who spoke in the two local government areas — Hon. Oladimeji David Orolade, Hon. Isiaka Alimi and Bunvic, commended Akintunde for his efforts.
