A consortium of groups working for the actualisation of his ambition bought it.
They presented him with the forms yesterday at an event that held at the former commissioner’s U’N’US campaign office in Oyo town.
Presenting the forms to him on behalf of the groups, a former caretaker chairman of Oyo east local government, Adegboye Mutahir, noted that he is the most qualified person to represent the people of the constituency.
“We know, without doubt, that you are the most qualified person to represent us based on your wealth of experience as a professional and your love for the masses as a politician,” Mutahir said.
He explained further that the groups decided to purchase the form because they were confident of his victory at the party’s primaries and the general election.
Reacting to the gesture, Yunus, the first Nigerian to bag a doctorate in Energy and Environment, expressed his gratitude to members of the groups for their trust in his candidacy.
“I promise to serve you beyond your expectation,” he added.
