A group within the Oyo chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyo APC Reformers, has said only former Lagos governor and national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, can reposition the APC in the state ahead of 2023.
This is just as the group commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his courage in declaring June 12 as Democracy Day and for immortalizing Basorun MKO Abiola.
In a press release issued by Hon. Sulaimon Ramon, its Acting Secretary after her meeting in Ibadan on Friday, the group stated that Abiola’s Immortalization is the final manifestation of the President’s forthrightness, consistency and sincerity with his populist position on June 12.
They also congratulated and thanked Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strategic positioning of the South West in the mainstream of national politics through the election of the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, The Speaker of House of Representative, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila and the Chairman Governors Forum, Govr John Kayode Fayemi. A feat which was a manifestation of respect for party Supremacy
The major resolution of the group is to support Asiwaju Tinubu in reorganising, repositioning and leading Oyo State APC back to victory and mainstream of Nigeria politics by teaming up with other progressives forces in Oyo State for 2023.
