Oyo Accord To Members: Don’t Be Distracted By ‘Asylum Seekers’ Who Left Our Party

Oyo state working committee of Accord under the chairmanship of Prince Kolade Ojo and the state secretary, Hon. Olayinka Dairo has successfully convened an enlarged stakeholders meeting of the party.

A statement in Ibadan by the Accord state secretary, Hon. Olayinka Dairo indicates that the meeting witnessed large turn out of party leaders including the Accord National Secretary, Hon. (Dr) Adebukola Abiola Ajaja, Senatorial chairmen, Women Leaders, and all party candidates during the last general elections.

He explained that all party state, local and ward executives across the 33 local government areas of the state as well as party members and supporters graced the important meeting.

Dairo explained that the gathering deliberated extensively on strategies for party cohesion and charting way forward, as well as strengthening the bond of unity and togetherness in the interest of all members.

According to Dairo, party leaders appealed to all members of Accord to remain steadfast and unwavering in their loyalty to the party, and not to be swayed or deterred by the antics of “perennial defectors” who play politics bereft of development ideology but selfish interest.

“Accord is intact with committed and faithful members solidly in the party’s fold; we have no reason whatsoever to be distracted by the usual practice of asylum seekers who are known for pitching tents with different parties”, Hon. Dairo stressed.

The Accord scribe emphasized that the party is resolute in its quest to provide good governance that will usher in unprecedented dividends of democracy to the people in the state.
