In a bid to ensure he secures the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 election, Barr. Akeem Agbaje, has visited stakeholders in the 10 local government areas in Okeogun area of Oyo State.
Agbaje, who was chairman of the Ibadan branch of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, hails from Ibadan North West LGA.
At the meeting which took place at Saki East on Tuesday, Agbaje emphasised the need for the real development of the Oke Ogun zone.
He promised to positively tap its vast resources for the benefit of its people in particular and Oyo State at large.
“I have come here to intimate you about my governorship ambition.
“Okeogun is well known to me. I have consistently visited this part of Oyo State since 1992. In the course of my visits and associations I have become aware and familiar with the challenges and the abundant opportunities.
He stated that he was of the firm belief that together we can tackle these challenges of development and turn it into meaningful social and economic growth and prosperity for the people of Oke Ogun.
The Leaders in response stated that they would continue to receive Governorship aspirants that wants to consult them for the betterment of the state. And that they wish him well as they have wished other aspirants that had come before him.
