Oyo 2019: Okeogun Indigenes Endorse AGA’s Okunlola, ADC’s Lawal As Guber, Senatorial Candidates

The apex socio-cultural group and umbrella body that encompasses all interest groups of the illustrious sons and daughters of Okeogun area, Oke Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF) has endorsed the Oyo North Senatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Barrister Bayo Lawal and Dr David Okunlola, the Gubernatorial candidate of AGA.

This announcement was made on Saturday at Ago Aare in Atisbo local government area of Oyo in an event which had in attendance candidates of various parties jostling to contest for different positions in the forthcoming elections at the National and State levels.

While speaking the convener, Dr Olusegun Ajuwon appealed to the sons and daughters of Okeogun to make conscious efforts to see that the Oke Ogun agenda journey for 2019 is attainable and successful.

He noted that the this decision was reached having critically examined all candidates who are from Oke Ogun in all political parties vying for different positions. There is a need to declare support for the two candidates to enable rapid development of the Oke Ogun region in the coming dispensation.

Speaking about ODCF, he said the group is all about good governance, an all inclusive government, a listening government that would listen to the plights of Okeogun and respond swiftly, Oke-Ogun that would be good for all.

The group stressed that, they have no doubt that the candidates have the ability, character, foresight to take Oke Ogun to the next level and pledges to mobilise for them in due course.

Bayo Lawal who hails from Kisi in Irepo local government area was picked among other senatorial candidates and David Okunlola who hails from Saki was picked among three other governorship candidates that are from Oke Ogun.
