QfThe local government meeting of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ibadan North West chapter erupted in wide jubilations on Thursday as its candidate for the House of Representatives, Abuja in the next national assembly elections, Dr. Wasiu Adewale Olatubosun made a surprise attendance.
The unannounced presence of the immediate former caretaker chairman of the council area was greeted with the weird celebrations and fanfares by the overjoyed members of the party who were reportedly said to have been longing to catch his glimpse since the ratification of his candidacy by the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.
Olatubosun who had a hectic walk in reaching the podium due to the different display of extensive happiness by the massive attendance of the members, commercial operators and area boys who thronged to Ebenezer Primary School, Ekotedo playing ground, applauded the crowd for the heroic welcome gestures.
He thanked the leadership and teeming members of the party for the love, understanding and maturity exuded in accommodating one another of different blocks; APC, nPDP, Labour Party , old ADC and CNM, which coalesced to the main dreadful opposition party, ADC.
Olatubosun therefore tasked the members of the party not to relent by intensifying their efforts in winning more souls for the success of all the candidates of the party in the fast approaching elections across all the polling units in the 11 wards of the council.
He enjoined the members to embrace themselves and map out strategic plans on how to comb the nooks and crannies of Ibadan North West with the door to door enlightenment of the ADC agendas for the teeming masses and canvass of votes from the eligible voters for the victory of the party.
He availed the medium to alert the gathering to hint unsuspecting people in their neighborhoods to disregard any request from anybody or quarter to either to supply the details or their whole Permanent Voter Cards for any social intervention by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
At the meeting which was chaired by Alh. Abdulrahamon Majekodunmi, the chairman of the chapter alongside his subordinate executive members, Olatubosun promised to pioneer a representation which will aid the quick development of human and community with the series of lofty programs and enabling policies in his constituency.
Also, he promised that every member of the party would be accorded due respect and appropriately rewarded for making his dream a reality with all sort of laudable dividends.
He vowed before the crowd to provide an all inclusive representations where every concerned party; people, communities, groups and others would be carried along in making decisions in respect of bills to be sponsored, motions to raised, petitions to submitted and importantly facilitation of physical infrastructures popularly called projects.
In conclusion, he assured the youths of having a special place through the placement of gainful employments in the federal ministries and agencies while enviable social and economic empowerment for the different group of artisans and others in the constituency through his good offices if elected as the legislator to the next national assembly would be prioritized for the betterment of all and sundry regardless of social status and gender.
