The All Progressives Congress, APC, Youth League in Oyo State has urged the leaders of the party in the state to remain united, peaceful and shun any act that make divide the party.
According to the group, “It’s no longer news that Oyo State APC elders council set up a zoning committee that will look into the possible zoning of positions for the incoming state congres which has led to conflict within the party and we hope it will be soon resolved.”
The coordinator, Bashorun Soliu Lawal, called the attention of the party’s leaders to what made the party lost her 2019 gubernatorial election to PDP.
“The party lost the 2019 election due to disunity among the leaders which paved way for the opposition to take over the governance but it’s high time for us now to regain our lost glory and get Oyo State indigenes out of incompetent governance of P.D.P.
“APC has all it’s required to take over Oyo State in 2023; the momentum and unity we are having within the party are indications that the party is back to its full capacity.
“Don’t let’s disappoint people that have moved into APC from different parties with the belief that it’s the only party that has good to offer for the good people of Oyo State. We need unity, peace and tranquility for the betterment, progress and development of our dear party.
“Conclusively, the APC stands a good chance to reclaim her lost glory from the lackluster government of GSM. Therefore we need to work as a team regardless of factions in order to get back our victory because collective hands always rescue mission.”
