Olatokunbo Olutomi Ogunsola, who is vying to represent Oluyole federal constituency in the house of representatives has said that he possessed the best credential to represent the people.
Speaking shortly after he was screened and cleared by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, committee saddled with the task, he explained that “Oluyole will, for the first time, will enjoy a better representation since its creation if I am given our party’s ticket and go on to win the general election.
”I am someone that can be trusted with the task. I won’t be a run-away congressman. I have a great antecedent. And this is apart from the fact that my dad was the first chairman of the council area. Yes, I can use that as a testimonial but no. He has done well for us cultivating in us the Omoluabi ethos.
”I am not in this race to amass wealth. I want to serve my people. I can say I am comfortable where I am but what of my people at home. Can I afford to give them the kind of comfort I enjoy? No.. Will I be able to lift everybody if I get the ticket and win the general election. No. But I believe I can set a standard that others can follow. I am also not one to blame those who are there or have been there because I believe they can’t do beyond their best. However, their best have not been the best for our federal constituency. That is the reason I am coming out from my comfort zone to represent our people.
”I have a lot of programmes that I will be unveiling in the next couple of days. That is possibly after the primaries of our party. And you wouldn’t but commend me when you see those programmes. You will see that I am prepared for the task,” he said.
He also used the medium to congratulate Muslims as they celebrate Sallah, enjoining them not to forget the lessons learnt in the just concluded holy Months.
