The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, on Friday promoted a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Akogun Sarafadeen Alli, and a former Commissioner for Environment, Chief Lowo Obisesan, to the rank of high chief.
Oba Saliu also promoted Chief Owoade Jibowu, Chief Akeem Adewoyin, Samuel Adenira, Taiwo Adebayo, Raufu Eleruwere, Emiola Onideure and Chief Busari Adebisi.
The monarch, who commended the promotees for their contributions to the development of Ibadanland, urged them to do more.
Alli praised the Olubadan and the Osi Olubadan, High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, for their support.
He said, “I will continue to back the development of Ibadanland in particular and Oyo State in general.”
Obisesan described the new title as a fresh task towards the promotion of Ibadanland and the state as a whole.
