On the occasion of the 67th birthday celebration of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2019 polls, and one-time Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, eminent Nigerians have begun felicitating him.
Leading the pack, is the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I, who in a personally signed letter to Lanlehin, on behalf of himself, the Olubadan-in-Council, Senior Chiefs, other Chiefs, Mogajis, Baales, and the entire people of Ibadanland, eulogized him, for living an impactful life, with a litany of good deeds, not only to individuals, but also diverse communities, in the discharge of his public responsibilities.
Oba Adetunji, wished Lanlehin, like a father, that “God preserves and protects him to celebrate many more years in the land of the living, with blessings like never before.”
In his own message, Director General, Nigeria French Language Village, Prof. Tunde Ayeleru, described Lanlehin as “a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic, thoroughbred and unassuming lawyer, and a highly respected leader.”
Ayeleru, subsequently prayed that Lanlehin live long in good health, and abundance of wealth.
A former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Dr. Maroof Akinwande, appreciated Lanlehin for being kind-hearted and principled, with a leadership style and vision that is unique and incomparable to none.
Akinwande, who had earlier represented Oyo Federal Constituency, noted that Lanlehin’s openness and kindness isn’t due to weakness, but his love for people and humanity. He, therefore, prayed that Lanlehin’s labour shall not be in vain.
On her part, Erelu Funke Olayanju, a prominent politician and leader in Ibarapa zone, admitted pride in being associated with Lanlehin, one whom she described as a man of honour, an example of humility, and a complete Ọmọluabi, who is indeed, a man of his words.
Erelu Olayanju, who was former Chairperson, Ibarapa East Local Government, prayed God to bless Lanlehin’s new age abundantly.
Bishop Solomon Amusan, while felicitating Lanlehin, noted that God had graciously made him relevant to this generation, having served the nation, and continuing to do so, selflessly.
Amusan, a Bishop in the Anglican Communion, prayed God to answer all of Lanlehin’s prayers, strengthen him through the problems of life, grant him victory over his enemies, as well as pour showers of blessings, mightily upon him.
Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Ogbomoso zone, Mr. Sunday Ajadi Abeebo, while greeting Lanlehin on the joyous occasion, prayed God to grant him many more years in happiness, good health and abundant wealth.
