Olubadan, Alaafin, Aseyin Denied Entry To Adamasigba

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji and other monarchs left the commissioning of newly remodelled Adamasingba Stadium in anger as security operatives denied them entry into the stadium.

Olubadan and other monarchs were invited to grace the commissioning but they were denied entry.

According to Daily Independent, the monarchs after waiting for over thirty minutes at the entrance, the security operatives told them that they can only allow them to enter if they can only go in with just one of their aides.

Speaking with Journalists after leaving the Stadium, the Assistant Director of Media and Communications to Olubadan, Yanju Adegboyega said it is very annoying for security operatives to stop the monarchs at the first instance talkless of given them order.

Adegboyega said Olubadan, Alaafin of Oyo and Aseyin of Iseyin were at the entrance to access the stadium but overzealous security officers stopped them.
Stressing that despite the fact they showed the Very Important Personality (VIP) Invitation Cards, the security officials insisted that they can only be allowed entry if they can only enter with just one of their aides.
He said, “There is nothing that happened there. We were prevented from entry at the stadium. The DSS and bouncers did not allow us to enter.
“They said they can only allow the monarchs to enter if they can only go in with just one aide. Olubadan has no option than to leave, Aseyin also followed us.

“Quote me, I am the Assistant Director of Media.”
