Engr. Raufu Olaniyan is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to ensure victories for the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Sen. Teslim Folarin, presidential and governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as well other contesting on the platform of the party.
At his country home in Igboho, headquarters of Oorelope local government, the retired permanent secretary said the country and state are at critical stages where men of good characters should steer the ships of leadership.
Speaking to a mammoth crowd, drawn from the 10 local government areas of Okeogun, Olaniyan expressed happiness with the enthusiasm shown by the people to work for the election Tinubu, Folarin and other APC candidates in the 2023 elections.
Though it is already in court, this newspaper learnt that Olaniyan was removed as Governor Seyi Makinde’s deputy. The same Makinde is hobnobbing the national leadership of the APC to shore up support for his re-election bid which many of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stalwarts are working against.
Olaniyan, who chairs the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council, TSGICC, enjoined them to deliver 90 per cent of their total votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates.
He urged support for Teslim Folarin, who is the governorship candidate of the party as well as Senator Buhari AbdulFatai as senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Alh Olaide Muhammada as member that will represent good people of Orelope, Irepo and Olorunsogo local governments in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja and Hon Lukman Ishola as member to represent people of Orelope local government in Oyo State House of Assembly. Engineer Olaniyan assure people of OkeOgun that the APC Candidates will do well at various levels if elected. Engineer Olaniyan enjoined the APC members not to fight anybody but they should canvas votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC Candidates. He assured them of dividends of democracy from the Federal, State and to the local government levels.
Hon Olaide Muhammada in his speech appreciated, the former Deputy Governor, Engineer Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan and other APC members present for their unwavering support and commitment towards the party.
He made it known that APC in OkeOgun is one big family and there is nothing like factions in the party especially in OkeOgun. Hon Lukman Ishola, the State House of Assembly Candidates for Orelope thanked God for life of Engineer Olaniyan and boasted that APC has already won the 2023 general elections. He implored members to be more dedicated so as to increase their votes more and more.
