In a statement signed by the group and made available to reporters, Rafiu Opatoyinbo is the rightful person approved as Baale Baba-Ode Alaro Aladie village, as it stated that he, Opatoyinbo, has the full support of his kinsmen to occupy the office.

The statement urged the Olubadan of Ibadanland, HRM, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (Ajeogungunniso 1) to let justice prevail and stop any process that can lead to the installation of Oladejo as Baale Baba-Ode Alaro Aladie community.

The statement also read that Tajudeen Oladejo is not the Baale-approved and the people’s choice for the land (Baba-Ode Alaro Aladie community) and due to illegality in the installation of Mr Oladejo as Baale of the land, he was removed by Oba Adetunji on December 16, 2020 at exactly 2:25pm.

According to information gathered that a letter from the monarch dated December 16, 2020 and addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State titled: ‘Re: Case of forgery, impersonation and land grabbing’ did state that Oladejo was never installed as Baale by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Adetunji,

According to Chairman, Conference of the Civil Society Group, Oyo State chapter, Comrade Kunle Fajembola, the group remains the mouthpiece of the masses, to defend the fundamental human rights of the populace and to safeguard hard-earned democracy.

“He said they are committed to democratic practices, principles, justice and equity as they appealed to Oba Adetunji to right the wrong.

“It is in the interest of the people of the Baba-Ode Alaro Aladie Community to see the new Baale-approved, Mr Rafiu Opatoyinbo to be installed as Baale-elect.

Meanwhile, when contacted, Oladejo said he remains the Baale Baba-Ode Aladie community.

“I’m still the rightful Baale Baba-Ode Aladie community, I have not been removed by anybody or authority and the facts are very clear,” Oladejo said.
