Major celebrities in Oyo State, especially those in politics and entertainment sectors, will converge at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, for the first of its kind 5-A-Side “family fiesta/corporate” football league tomorrow.
Scheduled to begin at 12 pm, the organizers at a press conference, said “This event is being held to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth of individuals and development of family through a day of fun, encourage collaboration and team spirit among participants of the events; to make soccer fun; and to instill the spirit of competition and healthy rivalry amongst participants with a lifelong passion for the sport.
Expected at the event are commissioner for youths and sports, Barr Yomi Oke, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina, NairaBet founder, Oloye Akin Alabi, Mr Shina Peller and host of others.
The organizers added that “the event will also promote collaboration and business networking amongst celebrities and stakeholders from government institutions, corporate organizations, entertainment and, media sector in Oyo state. These stakeholders will network to collaborate for the development of the State and do business within themselves.
This year’s edition is being supported by Coca-Cola Hellenic Group, Nigeria and Taxify.
“Coca-Cola is providing football Jerseys, souvenirs and drinks and water for the event while Taxify is offering a discount ride to the event. To qualify the discount, players and participants will be activating the code; OYO5ASIDE on the Taxify app on their respective devices.
“This great initiative will promote community development and Goal 3 (Health and Wellbeing) of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
