Obesere Set For World Tour Of ‘Egungun Be Careful’ (SEE SCHEDULE)

Ibadan-born veteran Fuji musician, Abass Akande Obesere, is set to go on a world tour of his hit song ‘Egungun be careful’ between the 1st and 10th  of April.

In a statement on his official twitter account, he announced that the world tour is going to hold in four countries across the continents of Africa, Asia and Europe. According to him, “Egungun be careful nights! Dubai, Kenya, Turkey, U.K ”

The world tour plan of the popular musician is coming as a surprise to many because of the free spreading Coronaviruswhich the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared to be a pandemic. This virus have made many Artiste including hip-hop star, David Adeleke (Davido) to suspend the music tour for his 2019 album, ‘A Good Time’.

The Fuji star popularly known as ‘Omo Rapala’ or ‘Papa Tosibe’ recorded ‘Egungun be careful’ 19 years ago but it was resuscitated and became the new trend in town after a video where he explained the meaning of the song surfaced online.

According to a report released by Modion communication insights on the 12th of March, the trend ‘Egungun be careful’ was used in more than 45 countries globally including Nigeria, United States, Canada and China.

The report further revealed that the song title ‘Egungun be careful’ reached more than 35.9 million active social media users and gathered over 712 thousand impressions in few days.
