Oba Adeyemi’s Exit Too Difficult To Fill — APC Reps Aspirant, Akinjide Akinola

    A leading House of Representatives Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency, Hon Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, has commiserated with the government and people of Oyo state, and in particular the people of Oyo town and by extension the famous family of Alaafin over the demise of the legendary, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi Olayiwola Atanda Alaafin of Oyo.

    The House of Representatives hopeful in a statement from his media office personally singed by him said the death of the foremost Yoruba Monarch marks the end of an era.

    Hon Akinola noted that the 52 years reign of Alaafin Adeyemi III, will be remembered in the history of Yoruba race as a golden era, considering the outstanding contributions of the Monarch to the unity and preservation of the rich culture and heritage of the Yorubas.

    “Alaafin’s death was a loss not only to his family, but the entire Yoruba race, looking at his deep-rooted knowledge and unifying role which he had played in the South West and Nigeria as a whole” the statement said.

    While nothing that the vacuum created by the exit of the iconic Monarch will be difficult to fill for the family and entire Yorubaland at this very important time such colossus is needed, he prayed to Allah to grant the repose of the soul of His Imperial Majesty, give the sons, daughters, Oloris, Oyo Mesi and the entire people of Oyo the courage and fortitude to bear the loss.
