Oba Adeyemi Left When We Needed Him Most — Idris Adeoye

    A member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Elders’ Advisory Council in Oyo State, Idris Adeoye, has mourned the transition of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi.

    OYOINSIGHT.COM reported yesterday that the Alaafin joined his ancestors at the age of 83.

    In a statement made available to newsmen, Adeoye, who is an accomplished engineer,  noted that Oba Adeyemi was an institution.

    “When you consider his transition from the level of impacts he has on the social, economic and political life of Oyo and Yoruba land, you would agree with me that he has now left a vacuum no one can fill.

    “The role he plays in Yoruba land and the wealth of knowledge he shares with many policy makers can’t be replaced ”

    Adeoye, who is an Oyo born politician commiserated with the people of the ancient town as well as members of the Oyo ruling houses, praying that the people of Oyo and Yoruba have the fortitude to bear the exit of the monarch.
