Medical journalist and media consultant, Kemi Olunloyo, has that revealed that there are two other companies in Oyo State with confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Olunloyo, in a statement on her Facebook page, however stated that the Executive Governor of the state, Engr. Seyi Makinde, did not reveal the name of these companies because of corporate stigma.
She then challenged Governor Makinde to reveal the name of the other two companies.
She also decried the plan of the state government to collect a N20 billion naira loan for infrastructural development in the state. Noting that the state should be saving for its education and health sector.
She wrote, “@seyi_amakinde Oyo State Government had, on Tuesday, announced that it had obtained the approval of the state assembly to collect the N20B loan for the development of infrastructure in the state. Seyi it is way too much. Ajimobi developed most of that state.
“You are going to find yourself in a mess when school opens. You need to be saving for Education and Health especially when schools eventually open. That is the biggest issue now. ILLITERACY. Focus on this cluster mess turning Oyo into a #COVID19 epicenter.
“No infastructure is crucial at this time. You are handling this Covid response poorly. 3 giant companies and 162 patients and you can’t mention two because of corporate stigma? These things will reflect on you in 2023. Don’t waste N20B.”
