Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, on Monday, explained that the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) will be operated using a muliti-campus system.
OYOINSIGHT recalls that the joint ownership of the institution was dissolved last week.
While addressing some students of the institution led by the Students’ Union president, Olabiyi Anthony who paid him a thank you visit at the Government Secretariat in Ibadan, the governor assured them of his committment to repositioning the institution.
“I came to you during electioneering campaign and I promised to work for you, and that’s what exactly what we are doing now.
“LAUTECH has the opportunity for research and learning, and opportunity to be multi-campus. Recalled that Nigerian University commission on Friday conferred the sole ownership of the Institution previously owned by Oyo and Osun to Oyo state, after years of deliberation,” the governor said.
