Commenting on the Makinde-led administration, the legal practitioner said “They lack capacity to govern, governance is education, is health, is food, is employment, is housing, is security and you are employed ‘quote and unquote’ to attend to all these and on each of these indices you cannot point to what he has achieved.

If you look at the insecurity in the state, you will see that he lacks capacity to govern”.

When reminded by the presenter, Olayemi Afolabi, that the issue of insecurity shouldn’t be blamed on state government but federal government, Agbaje said “Seyi Makinde operates under the same constitution that Ajimobi operated and Ajimobi was able to achieve a significant level of security that everyone accept.”

On what he would do differently if elected come 2023, he responded “By 1999, there is no Local Government that I have not been to in Oyo state and what that does is that it gives a better understanding of the people, of the environment and the relationship that have been built. You see we are progressive party, and the philosophy of the progressive government is different from the conservative philosophy. You see it is on record that the people of Oyo state have always benefited from the progressive government than conservative government. And when we talk about progressive government, we have to go back to the days of Awolowo, the days of Bola Ige and the days of Ajimobi. On that basis, we can expect a government that is beneficial to the people of Oyo state. Now speaking for Akeem Agbaje, Akeem Agbaje is one person that have lives all his life here in Oyo state, that has been to all the 33 local governments even when he had no ambition, he has observed how we have not progress as a state and I have relationship in all these places. I have capacity to provide solutions and I have capacity to implement those solutions.

About APC crisis in Oyo state, Agbaje said “We are all members of APC in Oyo state but the present challenge we have now is that majority members of the party are on one side and a very very small minority is on the other side”
