The Oyo State All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in 2019 general election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has call for unity of the party in the state.
Adelabu while speaking at the Ibadan Stakeholders meeting of the party held at the Ibadan Civic Center, Agodi, urged the principal stakeholders in the state chapter of the party to come to a roundtable and chatted a way forward for the party instead of promoting self-interest at the expense of party interest.
The former CBN Deputy Governor believe that, self-interest will always be injurious to the party interest and consequently be killing the party winning chances at the poll.
He further noted that; it is time for all to sheath their swords and started planning towards how to make the party a greater, attractive and productive party come 2023.
According to the former CBN Deputy Governor, “It is only God that is capable of chosen leaders and candidates, and that, even if he is not chosen, he will have no choice than to support the one chosen to represent the party. That is how parry interest work over personal or self-interest.”
