Oyo State chapter of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Alumni Association has elected a new executive council.
In the election which took place on Sunday, Ijadunola Olushina was elected the new president of the association.
Other elected members are: Vice president,
Adekunle Adetunji; General secretary, John OluwaBunmi; Ass Gen sec, Azeez Taibat, P.R.O:
Inaolaji Akinloye; Social secretary, Adesina Barakat Adenike and Financial secretary, Tolulope Abisoye.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman expressed delight at his election describing it as a “historical transition.”
“When we look back at how the journey was smooth and rough for the immediate past executives, we have no choice than to give glory to God Almighty for the maturity and pacesetting attitude of the stakeholders (The leaders and powerful congressmen) of this chapter, hence we therefore pledge to demonstrate exemplary leadership, be of good character and build on the enviable progress made by the past executives and also make good redress to the areas where they were deficient, as it is evident no one is perfect in life.
“Based on this, we pledge to always put the interest of the congress men first and will always give regard to the established institution of this noble association ( constitution).
“Conclusively, on behalf of all the executives we say thank you and we seek for your prayers and continuous support to be able to paddle this ship to a successful landing.”
