Candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin has confirmed OYO INSIGHT’s story on former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola’s peace moves between him and the aggrieved governorship candidates of the party.
This is coming few hours after this newspaper exclusively reported how the aggrieved governorship aspirants opposed Oyinlola’s peace moves and agreed to await the court decision.
RE: AGGRIEVED ADC GUBER ASPIRANTS REJECT OYINLOLA’S PEACE MOVE
Our attention has been drawn to a piece of the above caption.
Ordinarily, we should have ignored such, counting it as another move by the opposition to undermine a winning coalition.
Besides, since journalism ethics demand balance and fairness, which a simple phone call or WhatsApp message could’ve sorted, and the writer decided otherwise, we’re replying officially for the sake of truth, and posterity.
Indeed, while a meeting was held, decisions taken have not been accurately reported, and in fact, have been twisted. Bottom line is, all governorship aspirants who are still members of ADC have agreed to cooperate, and work with Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), and in deed the ADC.
To that end, any other information to the contrary should be disregarded.
Our focus is winning the hearts and minds of Oyo State voters, and by extension, winning the coming polls, and that we remain committed to.
