A letter being circulated online about the resignation of minister of power and governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is untrue.
A source close to the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, told OYOINSIGHT.COM was in office as at yesterday, 30th March, 2026, before jetting out on official assignment to the United Kingdom. The purported letter was dated 26th March, 2026.
Meanwhile the media aide to the Minister of Power, Bolaji Tunji, on Monday told The Nation that his principal has never hesitated in making his governorship ambition known and will do what is necessary in time.
Reacting to enquiries from The Nation when contacted, Tunji said, despite the presidential deadline approaching, the Minister is still interested in pursuing his governorship dream of Oyo State and will not disregard the deadline.
He assured that the Minister will do the needful before the close of the deadline to show his commitment to pursuing his governorship ambition.
