Currently, the youth of party, said to be hurriedly invited to the state secretariat of the party at Molete, are about to suspend the youth leader, Mr. Adekola Adeoye.

Though his offense has not been made open, OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how the salary of the Ibadan-norm youth mobilizer had been stopped, shortly after the PDP southwest congress which took place in Osogbo, the Osun State capital earlier this year.

Adekola has not been able to be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.

This afternoon, some youths, said to be supported by the party’s secretary, Mr. Wasiu Adeleke, passed a vote of no confidence on Adekola.

Adekola, this newspaper recalls, had yesterday on his personal page, expressed displeasure with Governor Seyi Makinde for not keeping to the promises he made to him before his victory at the poll in 2019, an action leaders and members of the party considered anti-party.

He was said to have voted for Eddy Olafeso at the PDP zonal Congress held in Oshogbo, the capital of Osun State.

Only last Thursday, Adekola attended the meeting by the faction of the party which held inside Jogor center. Those in attendance, this newspaper recalls, had declared factionalization of the party.

Arole Nureni Akanbi, Hon. Hakeem Gbolarumi, Hon. Mulikat Akande-Adeola, Hon. Muraina Ajibola, Engr. Femi Babalola, Alhaji AbdulRasheed Adebisi Olopoenia and others, sources told OYOINSIGHT.COM, are next in line to be suspended and expelled from the party.
