JUST IN: Makinde Lifts No Work, No Pay Ban On Striking LAUTECH Workers

    Workers at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, can now heave sigh of reliefs as Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has lifted the no work, no pay ban placed on them.

    Sources who were at the meeting told OYOINSIGHT.COM that “the governor graciously lifted ban on the no work no pay sanction placed on the university with immediate effect and requested the workers’ unions on campus to liaise with the university management to harmonize their demands and present same to the government with the promise to attend to the demands to the best of the ability of the government.”

    The meeting, which held at the private residence of the governor had in attendance his deputy, Bayo Lawal, Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN; Biodun Olaniran and Abegunrin, professors and LAUTECH ASUU chairman and secretary respectively; Fajoye Hamzat O, SSANU chairman; Agbomojo Isiaka, NAAT Ag. Chairman; Oyewande Joel A, NASU chairman; Adetunbi Saheed Ige, chairman, University Committee on Institutional Development and Endowment Fund and Aanuoluwapo.
