The management of Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate has announced the suspension of its Students’ Union President, Muhammad Yusuf Olaitan; Speaker, Hon. Opoola Abel; Clerk, Hon. Sheu Lawal; Chief Justice, Qozeem Qudus and D. O. P, Hon. Abdullahi Yusuf.
The suspension, which was communicated to the students is separate letters, was based on the protest held by students of the institution in November.
According to the letter, a panel of investigation found them guilty of “active participation in the wanton destruction of the College property.” The governing council of the institution also approved the recommendation of the panel.
In the same vein, the institution has ordered all students of the institution to pay a reparation fee of N10,000 for the damage they wrecked during the protest.
