Barely 48 hours after the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, visited his Ibadan house, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina Wednesday morning met his loyalists to brief them about the development.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that there have been overtures to the youthful former lawmaker, who represented Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, to rejoin APC from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, where he sought re-election in the last national assembly election.
The 42-year old had left the APC, together with others in the build up to the 2019 general elections, owing to irreconcilable leadership tussle within the party.
Last Sunday, the lawmaker representing Oyo central senatorial district, Sen. Teslim Folarin, had initially visited him to talk to him.
At the meeting that lasted hours at his late father’s Felele, Ibadan, residence, they resolved to consult other stakeholders of the group before decision is made.
It would be recalled that Lam-Adesina has yesterday expressed surprise that APC leadership could send such a high-powered delegation to reconcile and woo him back into the progressive family that was nurtured by his late Dad.
He had added that “I have listened to you very attentively and I feel elated to receive people of your caliber – this shows that you hold Lam-Adesina political dynasty in a high esteem,” assuring the delegation that he would reach out to all the aggrieved Lamists across the state with a view to convincing them to return to the house they built together.
