A former executive assistant to late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, Dr. Morohunkola Thomas, was guest of former deputy governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja Wednesday morning at his Felele, Ibadan residence.
Arapaja and Thomas, OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls, were deputy governor and special adviser during the administration of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Arapaja, who recently defected from African Democratic Congress, ADC, to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was briefly in the All Progressives Congress, APC, before the 2019 election.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that Thomas, a commissioner in three different ministries under the administration of late former governor Lamidi Adesina, was a member of the opposition APC, as at the last check.
Though details of the meeting were still sketchy as at press time, call placed to Thomas’ line to confirm a possible defection to the ruling PDP was rejected.
Shortly after the visit, Arapaja, in a statement by his media aide, Ibrahim Bamitale, wrote: “It’s my pleasure to receive Dr.Morounkola Thomas, three-time commissioner during Lam Adesina government, Former Special adviser on media and strategy to governor Alao Akala, former Executive Assistant and also Political Adviser to Gov. Abiola Ajumobi on a courtesy visit at my residence this morning.
I thank the former Political Adviser for the visitation
Like have always reiterate Oyo state belong to us we must be consistent in making it great.
