Hammed Adewale Ishola, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic in Oyo State, has congratulated Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta State, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola and his wife, Alhaja Mariam Olubukola Akinola on their installations Aare and Yeye Aare of Ibadanland respectively.
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Lekan Balogun, had last week announced the business magnate and his wife as the new Aare and Yeye Aare of Ibadan.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that the formal installation of the duo comes up tomorrow at the monarch’s palace.
Ishola, in a personally signed congratulatory message, said the, has again demonstrated his knack for excellence by picking the business mogul as the next Aare.
According to Ishola, who seeks to represent Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency in the house of representatives, De-Damak would use his connection as a silent philanthropist once again to better the lot of the people of the ancient city.
“I want to congratulate our father and his wife, Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola and Alhaja Mariam Olubukola, as they are installed tomorrow as Aare and Yeye Aare of our dear town.
“For me, the Olubadan as well as Olubadan-in-council, have done well in selecting this enigma for the exalted position and the timing was auspicious. Alhaji Akinola has, over the years, been a silent philanthropist whose nature won’t allow him make noise about it. His philanthropic gestures transcend religion.
”I am very sure that, like others who have been honoured with the exalted position, Alhaji Akinola would be more committed to the development of Ibadan as well as its teeming indigenes and residents alike. I congratulate the people of Ibadan, Olubadan as well as the family of the honourees,” Ishola added.
