Oluwaseun Olateju, a house of representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, has stepped down his ambition.
He made this known in a statement Sunday afternoon.
Greetings to all Progressives,
It is my pleasure to formally intimate our people for posterity and in order to respond to the popular wishes of my teeming supporters, revered party leaders, political associates and well wishers, that, I Hon. OLUWASEUN TUNDE OLATEJU assertively state that my progressive inclination is intact.
I was born and brought up with original progressive ideology, therefore I remain in the All Progressives Congress, APC. No tinkering with defection come what may!
Concerning my political aspiration to give responsive, responsible and purposeful representation to the good people of Ibadan North East/Ibadan South East federal constituency, I have considered putting it on hold till a near future time based on some factors, including family and my real estate business ventures.
Having said that, I will rejig my dedicated Non-governmental Organization, OLUWASEUN TUNDE OLATEJU FOUNDATION with a view to providing life abundant and poverty banishing interventions in cash and kind.
I also pledge to sustain my development-oriented partnerships and other blueprints till my vision becomes reality for the benefit of all constituents.
As you all know, I remain unrelenting in my generous support to efforts towards maintaining and strengthening party structure and activities in Ibadan South East and Ibadan North East federal constituency. You can always count on my ever willing and ready benevolent charity.
Let me equally stress unequivocally that I will support, in any possible capacity all APC flag bearers for all elective positions in the forthcoming general elections. Our resolve to reclaim Oyo state and our constituency is unshakeable.
As a party man to the core, I will not be caught in the web of anti-party activity in any guise.
I remain grateful to all my people for your candid advice, elderly guidance, useful suggestions, prayers and concern during my last attempt to clinch APC ticket and contest as a member House of Representatives.
I look forward to a more robust and mutual cooperation from well meaning party faithfuls in my future political endeavours.
