Ibadan NIPE Elects New Executive Committee Members

The Ibadan chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Power Engineers (NIPE) has elected new Exco who would be spearheading the affairs of the institution in the next two years.

The process conducted by the Patron of the institution Engr. Oluyemi Morakinyo FNSE, FNIEEE, FNIPE on Thursday 10 September 2020, saw the immergence of Engr. Ibraheem Bello Folarin MNSE, MNIPE as the new Chairman of the chapter.

Speaking shortly after his emergence, the new Chairman of the Chapter, Engr. Ibraheem Bello Folarin resolved to put all machinery in motion to build a formidable team and effective chapter to professionally drive the Nigerian Power Sector through the articulation and synthesis of the knowledge of all and sundry toward the realization of the “Nigerian Power Project”.

In his remark, the Patron of the NIPE Ibadan Engr. Oluyemi Morakinyo, FNSE, FNIEEE, FNIPE charged the new exco members and other members of the engineering family  to be loyal and committed to the institution by ensuring their present at the monthly meeting and partaken actively in all activities of the institution.

Engr. (Mrs) Folasade Sanye MNSE, FNIPE; the immediate past chairman (IPC) of the chapter, thanked all the members of the chapter for the support she enjoyed during her two-year tenure and solicited for the same for the new exco.

In his address, the Chairman, Nigerian Society of Engineers Oluyole Branch, Engr. AbdulRasaq Jimoh FNSE, MNIPE congratulated the new exco and challenged them to be a good ambassador of their family and their various places of work by being diligent and up and doing in their various offices.

Emmanuel Ejika MNSE MNIPE (Technical Sec), Engr. Waheed Afolabi MNSE MNIPE (Asst. Technical Sec), Engr. J. Atanda Bakare, MNSE MNIPE (Public Relation Officer), Engr. S.O  Afolabi MNSE MNIPE (Treasurer), Engr. Anyaoha Samuel MNSE MNIPE (Asst. General Sec, Engr. Victor Nwagbara MNSE MNIPE (Financial Sec), Engr. (Mrs) Asake Bose MNSE MNIPE (Membership Sec), Engr. Adekoya Daniel MNSE MNIPE (Ex.Officio).

The Nigerian Institution of Power Engineers (NIPE) is a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). It is the specialized institution for Engineers in the Nigerian Power Industry that envisioned the realization of the “Nigerian Power Project” among others.

The Ibadan chapter was inaugurated by the National Chairman of the Institution; Engr. Israel  E. Abraham MNSE, MIEEE, MNIM FCAI, FNIPE, MBA on the 19 July, 2018 with Engr.(Mrs) Folasade Sanya MNSE, FNIPE as the pioneer Chairman.
