A new school of school of communication and media studies, Ibadan School of Communication is due for commissioning early next year. The institution that parades the media veterans like Dr. Yemi Farounbi, Mr. Bisi Adesola among other professionals is set to bridge the missing link between theoretical and practical areas of communication.
With a broadcasting studio to groom the budding broadcast students, the school has reputable broadcasters as facilitators. Veteran journalist like Bamiji Ogundele, a former editor of the Nigerian Tribune is also available to impart knowledge of print journalism.
According to the image maker of the institution and one of the facilitators, Mr. Waheed Ganiyu, the institution has made arrangements to affiliate with Nigerian and foreign universities. ‘we are negotiating affiliation with many reputable universities in Nigeria and abroad. This we believe would add more credibility and recognition to our certificate’, he revealed.
